The Ses Negres Marine Reserve is located at Begur, just in the centre of La Costa Brava. With a total extension of 80 ha, including the cliffs that surround the Begur´s Mountains, and 1.300 metres of coastline, is situated between the Sa Riera and Aiguafreda creeks, at more or less 5 miles of the Protected Zone of Islas Medas.

The buoys and beacons mark the protected area and define a limited speed navigation channel. Nowadays, it´s not possible to dive at "Ses Negres" but is possible to swim and do snorkelling (mask, snorkel and fins), both activities respectful and compatibles with the environment preservation.

The visitors can enjoy and state by themselves the recovery of the ecosystem and marine life, years after the implantation of the Reserve.
